Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death and disease in Ontario. Every year, more than 13,000 Ontario residents - that’s 36 per day - die from tobacco-related use.

Tobacco use and exposure is linked to many disease including cancer and heart disease.

Our goal is to reduce the use of tobacco products in Lambton County and work toward a Smoke-free Ontario by:

  • Preventing tobacco use, especially among youth
  • Protecting non-smokers from second-hand smoke
  • Providing quitting support for smokers who want to quit

Living tobacco free is a key part of keeping you and your family healthy.
