When an emergency situation occurs in Lambton County citizens need quick and accurate information from emergency officials. In most instances, the primary source of immediate information to the public will be local radio broadcasts, and increasingly, government websites and social media platforms.

During large-scale emergencies, municipal sirens may be activated, and messages may be sent out to residents using MyCNN. 211 may be activated and promoted as an access point to help circulate information as quickly and accurately as possible.
