This is accomplished by conducting inspections of all food premises to ensure compliance with Ontario Regulation 562 (Food Premises) under the Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), R.S.O. 1990. Failure of an establishment to comply with the Food Premises Regulation is subject to legal prosecution.
