Lambton Public Health is required by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to conduct a Food Safety Program which involves the inspection and monitoring of all food premises in Lambton County.

The goal of this program is to improve the health of the population by reducing the incidence of food-borne illness. Failure of an establishment to comply with the Food Premises Regulation is subject to legal prosecution.
