The new Ontario Personal Service Setting Regulation (Reg. 136) introduced on July 1, 2018 by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, means changes for all Personal Service Setting (PSS) Owners/Operators. Learn more about reporting requirements. 

Lambton Public Health inspects personal services settings (PSS) such as nail salons, tattoo parlours, piercing parlours and many others. This is done to educate and enforce infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure proper safety requirements are being met.

Lambton Public Health also responds to complaints regarding infection prevention in regards to personal service settings.

Special Events

These guidelines and forms are intended to be used for special events attended by the general public or industry representatives where personal services are provided, such as hairstyling, barbering, tattooing, micropigmentation, ear piercing, body piercing, electrolysis, manicures, pedicures, and aesthetics (facials or waxing).

Special events include conventions, expos, shows, and fairs. Guidelines and an application process are provided for Event Coordinators and Event Vendors.
