Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC) is a free and voluntary program for pregnant women and families with children. Support from birth until the transition to school. The program includes prenatal support, a follow up phone call after the birth of your child, home visits and parenting supports from a public health nurse.

Am I eligible?

Pregnant moms, and families with young children (birth to transition to school) seeking support. To see if you are eligible, please call our Family Health Line at 519-383-3817.

Who will come to your home?

A public health nurse is a registered nurse, with experience in child and family health. They will:

  • Offer optimal prenatal education and support
  • Promote child development by completing screening and assessments 
  • Promote positive parenting by offering parenting information and skill development
  • Help families connect with additional community programs and resources
